Sigmund Freud

Sigmund Freud became one of the most famous psychoanalysts with his theory on what controls our minds and how we develop from a child to an adult. He believes jealousies, anxieties, and guilt in relation to family causes humans to determine how they feel about themselves. The whole cause of psychological disorders, according to Freud, stem from conflicts within the family during their childhood. They are removed from the memory, but are not gone, just stored in the unconscious. Our dreams and mistakes while speaking occur to show our true feelings. To figure out what was really going on in the unconscious, Freud used a technique called free association. This was a process where he would have the patient say everything that appears in the mind, even if it doesn’t make any sense at all.
