This year I participated in many community service projects; projects such as singing for various organizations with my chorus class also volunteering at Buffalo’s chicken wing festival. The project, which I enjoyed most though, was volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and helping rebuild a home.
The house which Fisher Price employees and I helped rebuild was located in South buffalo. The organization Habitat for humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. That seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. While helping rebuild this house I worked with an employee from Fisher Price named Nancy and we had to run wire for the outlets and for the smoke alarms from the top floor to the basement. Then I had to load some 2x4s in to a van so they could bring them to another work site. After that I went outside and tore up some stumps with Jim Bishop another employee from Fisher......
