I chose to do my analysis on the ideas of obsessive relational intrusion (ORI) and jealousy. Obsessive relational intrusion is when an unwanted person assumes a close relationship with someone when the other partner doesn't want a relationship with that person at all. This happens when one partner misunderstands the other partners interests and intentions in the relationship. Extreme cases of ORI can lead to one partner stalking the other. Jealousy happens when one partner reacts to a threat of ending a valued relationship. Jealousy can be seen as a strong interest and love for one person or it can be seen as someone acting crazy or because they mistrust their partner. By using positive interpersonal communication and discussing the issue rationally and calmly can bring about more of a positive outcome than acting irrationally or threatening to the other person.
