What do you think of when someone says the word computer? Do you think of the computers that you use at home for checking your e-mail? Or would you think of the computers that you use in the office for completing a spreadsheet? Most people don’t think of the computers that are being used everywhere else in the world. I was amazed when I found out just how many different types of computers that are actually out there. There are three different groups of computers; the microcomputers, the minicomputers, and the mainframe computers. Within each of these groups are different computers that people use for a variety of reasons.
The first group is the most known, it contains the desktop computer, the laptop, tablet PC, and pocket PC. This group is known as the microcomputer group.
