Daimlerchrysler
Before the merger, Chrysler was known as the most innovative auto company in the world; and it was because of their organizational structure. Chrysler’s organizational structure was more of a family unit than a competitive environment. Chrysler changed their original structure from a functional running company with one boss looking over one particular job. They turned the organization into a group of teams, and not just at the bottom of the chain, but all the way to upper management. One the lower manufacturing and production side, they were actually broken up into five groups or teams depending on the category of vehicle. These groups usually were made up of five employees.
