All around the world there are children who struggle everyday with disturbing problems. Such problems have been known to be caused by physical and mental pain, which slowly burns into their memories. They make youths act in an abnormal behaviour. The only way to help solve these problems is to find out how they started. The definition for juvenile is young and youthful and the definition for delinquency is the failure to do what law or duty requires. Juvenile delinquency can be expressed in many alarming forms such as bullying, assault, rape, or homicide. If children do not recognize of what is happening they will never stop.
The four males in the novel Skud were deeply affected by juvenile crimes. The first character we are introduced to is Tommy who has a very bright future in the military flying F16s which is quickly tarnished when he is provoked to and finally does rape his ex –girlfriend.
