A Plea For The Extension And Improvement Of The
An issue about this so-called “Improvement and extension of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, more commonly known as CARP, got my attention. Why is there need for improvement? How badly does our country need this proposed extension? These are the questions that linger in my mind when I first heard of this issue. Different views from different sectors of the society, from different people, have arisen from this. Some agree while some are against this development and extension of CARP. These different perspectives about the issue somewhat have worsen my confusion regarding this because I don’t know whom to believe. Of the sectors that have given their opinions, I think, the most reliable and trustworthy is the Church. To help in the evaluation of the said reform program, a view based on Christian beliefs is really a great help since we all know that this sector only thinks for the betterment of the whole society.
