World War I
This was a discussion board responce I had during class regarding WWI. It was a response during an online class session. the paper is not good for a turn in term paper but would work nice as a short expaination or answer for an assignment. *needs revising
Following the turn of the century and the Industrial Revolution, WW1 is commonly referred to as the Great War due to the countries and technology involved. With new forms of manufacturing such as the assembly line which allowed for the mass production of new weapons for warfare. This mass production caused for larger number of interchangeable weapons being produced. In addition to upgrades in weapons such as the rifle which changed from the musket to a light automatic rifle, Tanks, Flame Throwers, Gas and Machine guns were now being used on the battle field. New technology allowed for the countless numbers of deaths never before seen in warfare. The advancements of technology were without the advancements in battle field......
