Macbeth
To begin with, the three witches had a prophecy that Macbeth would become king. Quotes from the text such as: “All hail Macbeth that shalt be king hereafter” and “Thou shalt get kings though thou be none, so all hail Macbeth and Banquo” are examples of the three witches prophecies that Macbeth had been told. All of this had been planned by the three witches and their prophecies drove Macbeth to curiosity and deep thought. At the time of all this, Duncan was currently the king of Scotland and had announced that Malcolm (his eldest son) were to pass on king Duncan’s throne; this had driven Macbeth to his dark ambitions. Macbeth, in need of his dark ambition, ends up murdering Duncan. This goes to show how evil the three witches were, in the sense that they controlled Macbeth in an evil way.
