Objective
The objective of this project is to assess Lee Kuan Yew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore and his contributions to the country. In this project we will focus on how his personality and his management skills help in tackling problems and transforming Singapore from a poor port to the most prosperous nation in Southeast Asia.
Introduction
Lee Kuan Yew, the Father of Modern Singapore, is a legend to many people in the 20th century. Sixty years ago, Singapore was faced with a doubtful economic future, with trade-union, racial, religious and communal troubles and with communist infiltration. But today, it boasts the highest per capita income of any Eat Asian nation except Japan; freedom from economic wants: and the best medical and social welfare facilities in the region. These were all contributed by Lee.
