In 1929 Delta Air Lines served its first passengers from Dallas, Texas, to Jackson, Mississippi. There were five passengers on board. Today, Delta serves more than 300,000 passengers daily worldwide. Delta is the second largest carrier in terms of passengers carried and the largest airline transporting people across the Atlantic.
