There are many problems haunting our American society. The obvious oppression of black people previously in society has led to a problem with how race relations should be dealt with in the present. Affirmative action is one of the more recent changes to help the advancement of black people and other minorities alike. Analyzing this issue from the pro and con side of this heated argument in society; one can see how the authors from different viewpoints handle this discussion.
On the pro side of the affirmative action side, Milleryn Polyne writes in “Affirmative Action Promotes Equal Access to Education” to show that affirmative action is definitely needed in today’s society.
