a) The Fundamental Problem in Humanity
The approach of FaLun DaFa is designed to counter those thoughts and actions of the ordinary man who is viewed as un-clean and still living in darkness. FLG relies on the “evils” of the ordinary man to show in contrast what it believes is true and proper. The FLG that I am presenting is a modern cult and its views of humanity’s faults are based on modern issues in our world, and not necessarily a deeper underlying fault with humankind itself.
According to The Fa, the common man is opposed to the natural way of the universe and thus cannot rise to the higher state of enlightenment. In the Zhuan FaLun which is the most revered scripture in FLG, it is stated that “The universe holds them back because their ways do not assimilate with it.”1 and that “Human beings are living on a lower level than other......
