Teen Alcohol Use

Alcohol abuse is an excessive use of alcoholic beverages that result in failure to fulfill major duties and requirements at work, school or home. This failure results in drinking in dangerous situations and recurring alcohol-related legal or relationship problems. This issue proves to be a major problem specifically amongst teenagers. It affects them in many different ways. Both of the following articles discuss the issues concerning teens and alcohol in our society today. The first article, written by The National PTA, is entitled “Teens and Alcohol: A Lethal Combination. The second article is called, “The Health Effects of Teen Alcohol Use” by Kattie Payne.
The first article, according to the National PTA, states that teenagers today are unaware of the basic facts about alcohol. The purpose of the article is to educate teens, as well as parents.
