Jeffrey Dahmer was born in Milwaukee on May 21, 1960. When Jeff was four his father swept out from underneath the floor small animal bones which were killed by civets. Jeffrey was thrilled by the noise the bones made when they were in his hands. When he was six he was suffering from a double hernia and needed surgery to correct it. Ever since he was never quite the same. His face was motionless and he sat more stiff and uncommunicative. That same year they moved to Iowa, Ohio, meanwhile Joyce (Jeff’s mother) was pregnant with Jeff’s brother David. By that time Jeff was in first grade and he grew a fear of others combined with a lack of self-confidence. Lionel (Jeff’s father) suspected the move was the cause for Jeff’s change in behavior. He also thought that since he was also shy when he was growing up and later found a way out of it Jeff would do the same, but little did he know that Jeff was beginning the suffer from near isolation.
