Characterization Analysis
The character that I choose from the book is Simon. In the beginning of the book he is one of the many adolescent bigguns. He loves to help out, is very loyal, sensitive, and very calm about most things. He is more in the middle of the growing feud of Ralph and Jack; he hasn’t really picked a side. Simon has a natural goodness to him that can’t make him corrupt. While everyone went to play and the hunters were watching the fire, Simon stayed behind with Ralph to help him make the shelters. He cares about going home more than anyone, and he is more of like a friend to Ralph and the others. Sadly Simon slowly starts becoming like everyone else. At one point where Simon finds himself face on with the “Lord of the Flies” which is really just a pig’s head on a stick. Simon imagines the pig’s head talking to him, which really questions the sanity of everyone. Since Simon is really more of the uncorrupted, and now he has basically gone crazy because......
