Bio-fuels
As the world’s concern over the effects of global warming and pollution have continued to rise in the recent years many solutions have been proposed, and what appeared to be the most practical alternative to oil - Bio-fuels have become worse than the very thing they were meant to replace. Fortunately the mass production of Bio-fuels is still in its early stages and by using oil based gasoline until a better alternative is widely supported; Bio-fuels can be wiped out before they cause too much damage.
The “hype� around Bio-fuels has been growing exponentially for the past couple decades and is estimated to be a $100 billion market by 2010 (Grunwald). This presents vast environmental and economic problems which were unfortunately overlooked when Bio-fuels were introduced in the mid 70’s (Donnelly).
