An Overview Of Arguments For Abolishing Capital Punishment

Taking a position on capital punishment is hardly a black or white issue. There are many separate issues surrounding the overall question of whether or not the U.S. should continue to use capital punishment. Most immediately pump to make a moral value judgment when considering the death penalty. This, however, cannot be verified by any concrete piece of evidence; it is just an opinion. Whether or not you are “for” or “against” the death penalty really does not matter. The facts prove that the current system of delegating a capital punishment trial are overwhelmingly flawed and should therefore no longer be carried out in the U.S. under the current method of execution.
