Guten Tag: the greeting of the German people but they weren’t always this friendly especially in the 1930’s and the 1940’s. Many people know of the horrific events that were World War II and the Holocaust. A rise to power so quickly that the allied powers let get out of hand. Although it was easy for the German people to accept the man’s rise to power in their land being as he was promising things would get better and would get taken care of without people having to worry about it. One question still needs to be asked. How Did World War II affect the German People and their country as a whole in the years surrounding and well after the war?
The German president at the time was Von Hindenburg who, at the sight of Hitler’s Rise to power, offered Hitler chancellorship to avoid losing the election to him.
