Your Robot is Damaging my Psyche:
The causes of unemployment and their effects on workers.

In the summer of 2005, I became unemployed for several months. I voluntarily left a fairly well-paid position to build a business. Originally, it was a wonderful decision, but as the months passed and I used up my savings I had set aside for this time it became very stressful. My business wasn’t picking up as expected; I was having trouble paying my obligations. I was genuinely scared for my well-being. I felt the health effects of unemployment as my lack of income led to overdue notices, I experienced threats of losing my car and my home, also I skipped going to the doctor when needed due to lack of insurance. This time of unemployment was of my choosing in order to establish a business; however, not everyone is given that choice.
