References in rock songs often slip away unobserved, mainly because the genre itself tends to get very heavy. While in some cases, the book being retold is in the title itself – as in the cases of For Whom The Bell Tolls (Metallica) and Brave New World (Iron Maiden), sometimes the characters mentioned in the song are so famous – Misty Mountain Hop (Led Zeppelin), White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplaine), listeners catch the references easily.
