In the movie “Hacivat ve Karagöz Neden öldürüldü?� the city Bursa and the life in Bursa is described at the time of Orhan Gazhi according to stories and historical sources. In this paper I will discuss the description of the city “Bursa�, ethnic mix in the city, Orhan Ghazi, and the organization of Bacılar described in the movie.
Description Of The City:
The city seems with trees in a huge forest with its great walls. In the great walls, the city center has a crowded bazaar where carpets, clothes –especially silk-, pots and etc. are sold. And also there are many merchants at the city center as Evliya Çelebi describes in his travels. He claims that there nine thousands shops in Bursa and there is a big building called Bezestan which includes three hundred shops. These numbers are greater than Bursa described in the movie because Evliya Çelebi’s descriptions are belongs to 17th......
