Jazz Concert Report #1

The Jazz concert that I attended was the Jazz Ensemble which is located in Musical
Art Center on IU campus. It was held on Monday, October 13th, 8:00P.M.  This was my first time attending a Jazz concert.  This concert was a new experience for me and I was excited about my attendance at this concert. This concert gave me a chance to look deeper into what Jazz music is. The concert was divided by 2 sections; first one was directed by Alex Noppe, and 2nd one by Jeremy Allen. There were 4 songs that were performed for the first section and 5 songs for the 2nd section. The entire ensemble had fifteen people in it.  There were only fourteen actual performers.  One man was the director of the whole thing and he was composing.  The instruments that were used the most at this concert were woodwinds such as saxophone, trumpet, and flugelhorn and that woodwind players were seated in the first 3 rows on the right side stage.
