Description & Analysis
As I sit at my rosewood desk in my soft, charcoal hued office chair with its curved lumbar support, I sip my steaming hot Starbucks pumpkin spice latte. Like the scent of a Southern Florida orange grove, the aroma of Pledge furniture polish permeates the air and I know that the janitor has detailed the desk the evening before. This uninterrupted personal time is my favorite part of the work day. As the time nears seven o’clock the fire chief enters the office and greets me with a pleasant smile. From this spot, I can gaze out my four foot by ten foot tinted window and take in a pink blossomed tree that was planted several years ago in remembrance of my step sister. As the brilliantly green leaves of her tree gently rustle in the cool morning breeze, I am reminded of the many late night talks we shared all throughout high school.
