John 13:1-7

After repeatedly reading John 13:1-17 I have come to the conclusion that there is more to the passage than just words on a page. It helped me to see how Jesus did more than just preach, it showed me that he wasn’t just a teacher, but a student to God. He wasn’t only a master of man, but a loyal servant of the righteous. Once I began to read this passage it became more than just another bible verse, it became very interesting.
John 13:1-17 begins by telling us that it is just before the Passover Feast, and that Jesus knows that the time of his crucifixion is nearing. Jesus is amongst his closest friends and followers, who most people know as the Disciples. However there is a disciple amongst them, who will soon betray Jesus by turning him over to the guards that are looking to find and crucify him, this man is Judas Iscariot, son of Simon.
