Did you know that every 12 seconds a woman is abused by her husband, fiancé or lover? One of those women can be your friend, sister, mother or someone related to you. For most of the people domestic abuse is something far away from of their lives and they do not think about it until they are affected by them or a near relative. The diverse modalities of aggression and abuse against the woman are expressed daily in the world, crossing the circle of the violence that, in most of the cases, usually leaves one or several victims. Domestic Abuse does not just affect people of a certain race, age, gender or background, but knows no ethnic, cultural or personal borders. In “Spouse Abuse-Misuse of Power” Life challenges (2002) writes that studies show that abusers are often motivated by feelings of powerlessness and insecurity. The abuse may occur during a relationship, while the couple is breaking up, or after the relationship has ended.......
