Perhaps nothing sets humanity apart better from the rest of the animal kingdom than our ability to reshape the world around us. From constructing houses to changing our environment, humanity is able to mold its surroundings as it chooses. The tools that have been created not only allow humanity to shape its world, but also to create items that enhance that world.
Musical instruments are among the items that humanity has developed to enrich their lives. While other animals, such as whales, can create music, humanity can create instruments that allow them to create a whole range of sounds. Among the most popular instruments that have been created is the guitar. It has been said that a person can not throw a rock into a crowd without hitting a guitarist. While that may be a slight exaggeration, it can be said that the guitar has evolved through the ages into the well known and versatile instrument that is used today.
