The Unnecessary War
How does one justify the killing of innocent civilians during a war? The Vietnam War involved the struggle between the people of North and South Vietnam, the U.S., and the Soviet Union, and resulted in many casualties. There exist many negative effects from the war including battles fought in South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, all of which killed many civilians. In addition, the mistreatment of POW’s, the killing or wounding of many Americans, and the division of Americans in the U.S. contributed to the negative feelings surrounding the Vietnam War. Much controversy surrounded this war, but the war overall should be considered unnecessary.
