Euthanasia

Should people have the choice to end their life? Euthanasia is the practice of mercifully ending a person’s life. It’s to release the person from an incurable disease, intolerable suffering, or undignified death. Euthanasia can be linked back to the Greek and Roman times. The word euthanasia derives from the Greek for “good death,” Eu meaning “good” and thanatos meaning “death” Generally, euthanasia implies the intentional termination of life that is initiated by a person who wishes to commit suicide. As time passed religion became strong and life was viewed as sacred. Euthanasia and assisted suicide has become a widespread controversial issue among society, religions, and the health care community.
In 1935 the first Euthanasia supporting group was formed in England. Euthanasia is legal in many countries such as the Netherlands and Belgium. Assisted suicide is legal in Oregon. Assisted suicide is a bit different from euthanasia. It is when one person gives another......
