Class A Design: The format is casual and yet presented in a lecturing style. The room is limited in terms of seating options. Objectively the teacher is presenting material as a general overview of the complete content, trying to cover as much material as possible in each session. There is little to no evidence of sequencing or timing. The session just begins and proceeds through until the time of dismissal. There are some varying methods used such as media power point and handouts containing printed topical information. Assuming the role of teacher in this class I would keep the pace light and quick. I would also recognize the need to help the class participants make sense out of the information they already have and maybe challenge them to unlearn some understanding of the past. This class setting would lend itself to the use of many visuals, recognizing how impacting media is on today’s generation and the large amount of material being covered each session.
