A not so “jolly� Christmas parade

Like most people who do things they are not supposed to, I knew there was a possibility things would not go as planned. But still, I chose to go through with the scandal. On Thursday evening, a close friend of mine named Enrique, invited me along to go to a Christmas parade held in downtown Aguadilla. Alexis y Fido were to perform there along with other artists. I really wanted to go, but it was during school hours and I knew if I asked my parents they would not allow me to go. So what was I to do?
Enrique and I conjured up a plan. To start, I was to tell my dad I was going on the bus which came earlier, and that it was not necessary for him to take me to school the next day as he usually did. It was more than likely that if I rode the bus, so did my younger brother. However, that day he decided no too; which was both a blessing and a curse.
