Because of the situations that I have encountered through my participation in community services, I can honestly bring myself to the conclusion that I am a better person than when I didn’t perform these activities. Community service is a great way for students to step outside of their comfort zones and reach out to the people that are less fortunate than I am. It has helped to break some of my bad habits, and it has also really helped me out spiritually. I now see that there is a purpose for everything that happens in life, even though this is hard to see sometimes. Everyone in life has a specific purpose as well, because if I hadn’t served those people at the soup kitchen then they might not have eaten that night. For all I know I could have saved a life that night, and I believe that this is the reason why we as a people are put on earth. If schools did not require service time to be done then I think there would be a lot of students that would have never found their true......
