I believe that had the Little Seamstress never been exposed to those books, or the movies the boys acted out, she never would have dreamed of betraying her father, and running away from her life on the mountain. Not that this may have been a bad thing, education is wonderful, it allows people to think for themselves and learn from their own mistakes.
