Did you know that 1 in 5 Americans is obese? America is one of the fattest countries in the World. Serving sizes are getting larger in proportions and are getting more and more unhealthy. It also been said by Jenny Murphy that about 300,000 Americans die each year form obesity related causes. But why, why we getting so obese? Americas obesity is sky rocketing by the effects of high glucose, fructose, and sucrose consumption, having unhealthy food so accessible to the society, and knowing the outcomes of unhealthy consumption but choosing to continually eat very unhealthy.
Glucose, fructose, and sucrose consumption in foods is one of the leading causes of obesity. According to Dr. William Rice, the average American eats over 120 lbs of refined sweeteners per year.
