2004 Stepford Wives
After I watched the revised version of the 1972 film, I thought this comedy was a success. Rather than watching the psychological 1972 film that made me sulk in my seat. I personally am more interested in action and comedic movies. If the movie wants go to the psychological and horror genre, then I think that they need to put up more effort on the 1972 film. The 2004 film is more modern and actually shows throughout the movie, many popular trends. One of the funny lines in the movie is when Joanna ( Nicole Kidman) responds to “AOL”, “Is that why the girls here are so slow?”. This movie shows that the issues that lie in our world are completely different from the 1972 era. The fear of sexual inequality from women being dominated by men in the 1970’s reversed itself.
