Alcohol Effects

Do you know anyone who has been severely injured or even died from a motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver? I do and I’m sure many of you do too. Recently my friends were in a car accident involving a drunk driver. This was, in fact, not too long ago. They went down to Minneapolis to go to a concert and on their way home they were t-boned into a wall. Although the car was totaled, my friends were luckily alright. Unfortunately I have also had a friend that was killed by a drunk driver also. The drunk driver was my age, young and reckless. Now that you know why this is so important to me, there are three topics I would like to discuss: drinking in general, underage drinking, and most importantly drunk driving.

Underage drinking is a big problem in our society. As far as underage drinking goes statistically, according to the US Dept. Health and Human Services about 41% of teens ages 12-17 have consumed alcohol sometime in their lives about 21% are still currently......
