The Process of Writing a Research Paper
There are many steps involved in writing a research paper. It is important to follow most of the steps in order to put together a high quality research paper. Not every person will do all these steps or even in the same order, but understanding the basic concept of each step is what is important.
The first step to writing the paper is to find a topic. According to the Prentice Hall Reference Guide, choosing a topic that truly interests you is a good idea. Pick a topic that either you just would like to learn more about or one that may help you learn things about a career or educational path you are following (Harris 328). Doing this helps you stay focused while writing the paper and keeps you from getting bored or uninterested in the essay.
