Sports tourism, like most other forms of tourism, brings about both positive and negative impacts on the tourism destinations. The impacts of sports tourism will be studied from the various aspects (political, environmental, economic, socio-cultural and technological) of the tourism destinations. Additionally, analogies of sporting events in the world, particularly the recent 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics will be engaged.
