How China Has Affected My Community

While globalization normally goes unnoticed, it has become a large movement that has many positive and negative effects on the consumer. There are many stores a person will frequent, unaware the items he or she is purchasing were made in another country which was chosen, like China, for its ease in regulations and cheap labor. Outsourcing is not good for America’s economy, and leads to unemployment and homelessness.
China is the leading global economic power today, with ties to large-scale companies such as Boeing, Wal-Mart, GM, Ford, GE and Coca-Cola. (Anderson, & Cavanagh, & Lee, p29), Corporations seek out this country to house their products because China has the “infrastructure to house practically any industrial operation.” (Anderson, Cavanagh, Lee, p29) Another possible reason could be that industrial trade unions are banned, making the demand for increased......
