Goddess of Love and Beauty

Aphrodite was the goddess of Love and Beauty. She was a major Greek Goddess. She was the greek version of an Asian Goddess of Life similar to Astarte. Aphrodite's name came from aphros the Greek word for foam. She was identified by the Romans as Venus.
The goddess Aphrodite was born in the most unusual way. When Uranus was defeated by the New Gods, one drop of blood from his wounds fell in the ocean and caused the water to froth and foam. Then the fully-grown figure of Aphrodite appeared. This was suppose to have happened near the island of Cythera.
Aphrodite was carried in a giant scallop shell to the shores. She was met by the Seasons in the form of beautiful girls. They gave her clothes and jewelry to wear.
She existed purely to be beautiful and adored, and had no other jobs. She had a magical girdle which made whoever whore it irresistibly attractive to other people. That's why Adonis and Paris preferred her over over any-other goddess.......
