A deadly epidemic has been spreading across the United States and deliberately creeping into most American homes for years. This atrocity processes the very well known name of obesity. Obesity, an increased body weight caused by an excessive accumulation of fat (Obesity, American Heritage Dictionary), is a very serious problem that has been exponentially increasing during the last few years. The country is very well informed of the complications due to this issue; yet, the country continues to increase not only the amount of people who are considered overweight, but in the percentage of body fat they are overweight. In 2004, 142 million people, age 20 and older, were diagnosed as overweight or obese. Of this amount, 67.3 million were obese. To top off this dilemma, the number of children in the USA, who are considered obese, has skyrocketed. Seventeen point five percent of children ages 6-11 are overweight and adolescents, ages 12-19, were at 17 percent in 2004(Obesity......
