Observation
Every night at 7 pm I walk through the doors of Regency Hospital. My fellow employees always greet me cheerfully as we all gather by the time clock. Everyone discusses the kind of day they’ve had and what we have to expect for the night. Most of us are in a fairly good mood, that is, until we walk down the corridor and we see the night shift security guard.
Linda, (our company security guard) has been working for Regency for a very short time but she has not made a good impression on the employees there. This is especially true of the night shift crew. Linda is a peculiar looking woman. She reminds me of the little grandmother that played on ‘The Beverly Hillbillies’ show. She is a very petite woman, with long gray hair stretching all the way down her back that she keeps tied neatly in a ponytail. She is always dressed immaculately, with her freshly pressed uniform and bright shiny shoes. She always shows up to work on time and even works extra when her replacement is......
