THE SOCIO-ECONOMICS OF CANADIAN IMMIGRATION POLICY
The recession/depression the recent economic meltdown is only a symptom of what's to come. Capitalism imports immigrants to: provide cheap labor to manufacture exports (GNP), grow the money supply, and consume goods (GDP). But Capitalism is dead.
A talk show host suggested that North Americans support Capitalism only through inculcation of the myth wealth, power, influence are attainable. The rest of the world is envious from the importation of Western culture and values. The Cocoa-colalization of the World. But probably converting the national currency into American dollars is the culprit. North American society is overflowing with crime, drugs, poverty, racism, and toxicity. A more pressing issue than the wealth disparity--the rich are getting richer, and the poor, poorer, is the carbon lingering in the atmosphere leading to the "greenhouse gas" effect.
