I’M All Out Of Words
I’m All Out of Words by Carmel Neri
Words. Where did they go? Now that I need them most they aren’t here anymore.
I used to love talking. I used to love writing. I even wrote a lot of good essays and stories from morning ‘til dawn. Words would just come out from me automatically without my brain commanding me to.
Actually, for me, writing was like breathing. I do it so that I could survive the school paper works, journals and the likes that are always lined up in my tasks for the day.
But today, I look at the mirror and it made me stop and think for awhile. What happened? I can’t write anymore. I can’t even talk. I mean, I don’t have anything in my mind to write and say the right words. Something has pulled my hands away from the pen and paper which used to be my best friend. My tongue is tied up. I couldn’t even think a word.
