Introduction:
There are seven key features in the nation’s system of government. Almost every country has the seven which are:
• British-style Cabinet or Responsible government: The executive of the government when the party was created or partnership of the parties with a majority in the lower house of the legislature. The executive is responsible to the parliament and the parliament is responsible to the people in agreement with the Westminster conventions of responsible government.
• Representative government; This is where all legislatures are elected through universal adult franchise with compulsory voter enrolment and compulsory voting. Political parties are recognised as representatives for the people’s interest.
• Constitutionalism: there is a written structure that restricts the government which is difficult to amend; but The Australian constitution does not include the Bill of Rights.
