INTRODUCTION

In 2 Samuel 11, the story is told of David's decision to sleep with Bathsheba, another man's wife. Afterwards, he attempts to cover up his sin. When that effort fails, he conspires to have the women's husband, a valiant warrior in Israel's army named Uriah, killed in battle. Even though his plan is successful, David's sin is exposed.
