Data and Calculation: {draw:frame} We connected the loop, coil, variable resistors and ammeters to a source of current as shown in Figure 1. We made sure that when is no current, the loop is balance. We measured the length of the loop which was 2.85 cm. Then, we set the current in the solenoid (Is) to 2.97 A. Figure 1 Finally, we can calculate the coil density in the solenoid by using equation: n= Bµ0Is; Now, we hold IL constant at 3.01 A, and we did the same things by adding the weight on the loop and increasing IS with recording into table 2.
