Deviant behavior is a learned process through small socialized groups. It is boundary found and maitained. Some people have more opportunities to ac in these behaviors then others.

It a process that is learned from childhood, it is not inherited.

People who take par in these behaviors do it not because of the material gain, but because of the feeling of getting away with the crime.

People who steal or shoplift engage in sneaky thrills. They like the euphoric felling after it is done.

Gang members blame the victim for their behaviors. By them gangbanging they feel that the victim was on their turf, so it all justified.

Everyone is deviant at on time or another, but some tend to drift in and out for longer periods of time. It is the differential association theory.
