Civil Action

I watched the movie Civil Action starring John Trivolta. The movie was about Trivolta being a personal injury lawyer. He takes on the case of some people suing some companies in their town because they contaminated the water supply causing some kids to become sick with Leukemia and dying. During the movie the families tell Trivolta how they are not so much as interested in the money, but they want someone to take responsibility for the deaths and they want an apology. Trivolta tells the families the companies will not give a formal apology but the settlement will be their apology. This turns out to be important because in the end of the trial Trivolta is the lawyer on the families end up with about $300,000 apiece. One of the parents tells Trivolta how that is a shitty apology. The families could have gotten more, but Trivolta developed a conscience and decided he wanted to get the companies to shell out more money than what they were going to agree to.
