The Issue of Flag Burning
Flag desecration is a term applied to various ways of intentionally dishonoring a flag most often a national symbol. Such action is intended to make a political point against a country or its policies. The First Amendment to the United States constitution says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of grievances."
